Simple tips for night makeup

Face care

Face care is the most important thing when it comes to getting the perfect makeup look. Whether day or night, your makeup will look flawless if you take good care of your skin.

So cleanse your face at least twice every day, exfoliate once or twice each week to get rid of dead skin cells to reveal smooth and younger-looking skin. And remember to moisturize your face, day and night.

Whatever skincare products you use, make sure they suit your skin type. Go for gentle and natural products that don’t contain harmful or irritating ingredients, such as formaldehyde, carbon black, coal tar, and fragrances. You only get one skin, so take special care of it as early as now.

Use a primer

You don’t want to attend a night event and have your makeup ruined even before you get there. That is why using a primer before applying makeup is so important.

It should be used after you’ve moisturized your face. You can even get a product that combines a primer and a moisturizer. A primer gives your makeup a beautiful finish by creating a smooth canvas for it to be put on.

It is applied to the entire face and protects your skin from the direct contact of the foundation. It also extends the time that makeup stays on the face. So using a primer is a must for flawless night makeup.

Use concealer

When it comes to applying makeup, most people forget to use concealer. However, concealer is the key to a flawless makeup appearance. The concealer can be used for more than just covering up dark spots. It brightens your under eyes and works well as an eyeshadow foundation. It is best to apply a concealer after applying foundation not before.

Use highlighter

A highlighter is a makeup item that reflects light. Whiles a lot of people prefer to contour and highlight, you do not necessarily have to do both. Moreover, contouring can be difficult to get right.

So you can simply just highlight the parts of your face that you want to highlight. These are usually the parts of your face where lights naturally hit. The tip or bridge of your nose, above the cupid’s bow, beneath the arch of your eyebrows, above the arch of your eyebrows, and on your cheekbones are all places where a highlighter can be used.

However, you do not need to highlight all of these points; it would be excessive. Simply designate some parts as emphasis points and highlight them.

Smokey eyes

Smokey eyes can be challenging to achieve. However, with the appropriate brushes, you can complete the task. If you’re having trouble getting started, you can look for some YouTube videos.

Smokey eyes aren’t supposed to be harsh. The edges of the eyes should be softly blended. They’re ideal for any late-night affair.

Wear false eyelashes

False eyelashes are eyelashes that are used to thicken natural eyelashes. They are applied to the lashes using eye glue. They instantly enhance the appearance of your eyelashes, by making them look thicker.

Since this is for the eyes, always make sure you use the right eye glue. Using the wrong glue on your eyes can affect your sight.

Go for bold lips

When it comes to night makeup, you want your look to stand out, and bold lips is one method to do it. If you don’t want to wear red lipstick, a hot pink tint is a good alternative. Bold lips enliven the makeup and change the face.
