How often do you give thanks to God for everything He has done in your life? Thank you may seem like a simple thing to say, but it’s something we don’t do nearly as often as we should.
It’s important that you make it a habit to thank God for everything he does for you every day, not just on Thanksgiving Day. Find something to be grateful for, even if you’ve had a difficult day.
Thanksgiving Day is a day to give thanks to God for all the wonderful things and people in your life.
Whether you are able to attend a family gathering or are unable to do so and must spend the day alone, it is still a day to reflect on all the things for which you are grateful.
But Thanksgiving isn’t the only day to express thankfulness; practicing gratitude every day is beneficial, and there is something to be grateful for every day. If nothing else, be grateful for the breath of life and the opportunity to witness a new day.
It’s worth noting that Jesus began each prayer by praising and thanking the Lord. We are also admonished to follow suit. Practicing gratitude allows us to recall all that the Lord has done for us, allowing us to continue to put our trust in him.
There are things we see and thank God for, and there are things we don’t see but which the Lord continues to do for us. All of this should be attributed to God.
Remember to thank God for the things He protects you from that you aren’t even aware of whenever you express thanks to Him. Whatever happens, we must constantly give thanks to God since he is the only one who can replace what we lose.
Gathering with family and friends to drink and dine while chatting about all we are grateful for is a traditional Thanksgiving day custom.
Because of work and varied schedules, it is difficult to get the entire family together throughout the year, but on Thanksgiving Day, everyone gets to be with their family, which is surely something to be thankful for.
The thing about a Thanksgiving prayer is that it isn’t a prayer to say on just one day of the year. It’s a prayer that can be said at any time of year.
These Thanksgiving prayers can be used whether you want to say a prayer at the table on Thanksgiving Day or if you want to offer a thanksgiving prayer every day. If you want to make up your own Thanksgiving prayer, follow these steps.

Thanksgiving prayer points
Give thanks to God for the blessings that have come your way recently
The first step is to express gratitude to God for the blessings that are now surrounding you. This might be for waking up, for your family and friends, or for the dinner you’re about to share. Or for anything that has come your way recently that you are thankful for.
Give thanks to God for everything He has done over the year
God is gracious, and His grace is abundant for us throughout the year. This implies that in addition to everything and everyone around you right now, there are other events for which you should be grateful.
This can be anything that occurred during the year for which you are grateful. Things to be grateful for include a job promotion, recovery from illness, the purchase of a new home, graduation from high school, and the addition of a new family member.
If you’re saying this prayer over a Thanksgiving dinner, remember to add things that happened in other people’s lives, as well as the entire family, not just your own.
Pray for continuous blessings
After you’ve thanked God for everything He’s done for you and your family, the next step is to beg Him to continue to bless you and your family. Seek His direction and protection for each of you individually.
Pray that He blesses everyone in attendance and grant them their heartfelt aspirations. Pray that God blesses you all with good health and long lives so that you can all get together again next year to thank Him for everything.
Here are a few Thanksgiving Day prayers to assist you to thank God for all he has done for you and your family on this special day.
